·      Rudy Graham's email of Nov. 24, 2025 (in response to my email):

"A 5 session package could be used for married couples, as well as pre-married couples. The package is just a structure to define some period of commitment to work together. We can work with couples in crisis and healthy couples.  The coaching principles are the same, and each couple has a different starting point in the coaching process, defined by them. We are equally comfortable working with non-christians and christians alike. The coaching process is the same.  We can leverage their beliefs if they are a christian, by asking, "how does your faith impact that thought or statement?""

·      It costs US$2000. The ideal cadence of sessions is one month apart. Some reading assigned based on the topic that we have discussed or to support an upcoming topic.

·      At Fruitful Journey Coaching, we believe every great marriage begins with intentional preparation. Through our SYMBIS Pre-Marital Coaching Program, ICF Aligned coaches Rudy & Wilmer Graham will guide you and your partner in creating a solid foundation for a lifetime of love, connection, and growth.

·      Program Overview

o   This five-session, ten-hour program is tailored to help you understand yourselves, each other, and the unique dynamics of your relationship.

o   Using the powerful SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) assessment and framework, we’ll explore key areas essential for a successful marriage.

o   Each session is designed to be interactive, practical, and personalized to your relationship.

o   You’ll gain insights, tools, and strategies to navigate your journey together with confidence and joy.

o   Session One: Building the Foundation

o   Session Two: Exploring Your Context

o   Session Three: Understanding Dynamics

o   Session Four: Strengthening Communications

o   Session Five: Tackling Key Challenges

·      Fruitful Journey Methodology: We guide your marriage preparation using the SYMBIS Assessment and ICF professional coaching skills and competencies.

·      SYMBIS addresses the key factors that determine the longevity and quality of a marriage relationship.

·      As ICF Coaches we will:

o   Maintain confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism while working with couples. Avoid taking sides and respect the values and decisions of both partners, even if they differ from our own beliefs.

o   Approach the couple with openness, curiosity, and a focus on growth.

o   Collaborate with the couple to define clear goals for coaching (e.g., improving communication, rebuilding trust). Set boundaries around roles, expectations, and the scope of coaching.

o   Create a safe space where both partners feel heard and respected. Foster an environment where they can share vulnerabilities without fear of judgement or shame.

o   Stay focused and fully engaged during sessions, even if emotions run high. Be flexible and adapt to the couple’s needs, responding appropriately to their dynamics and challenges.

o   Listen not only to what is said but also to the emotions, patterns and underlying issues in the relationship. Validate each partner’s perspective and clarify misunderstandings.

o   Help the couple uncover deeper insights about their relationship dynamics. Use powerful questioning to explore their beliefs, triggers, and patterns of interaction, guiding them toward new perspectives.

o   Support the couple in developing actionable strategies to improve their relationship. Encourage them to apply these strategies between sessions and celebrate their progress.

§  Together for Good workshop (eCourse 5 sessions, 50-60 min. each; 49$CAD)

·      Together for Good workbook (free download) - excellent!

·      Together for Good is a video-on-demand marriage workshop hosted by Neil and Sharol Josephson, the Vice Presidents of FamilyLife Global Resourcing. This set of five sessions gives couples tools, exercises and guided conversations to grow a healthier, more joy-filled and more resilient marriage.

·      Session One – Together for Good

o   Sharol and Neil highlight the great good that comes from staying together for good — how it’s good for couples, kids, communities and country. Next, they introduce two forces — Differences and Drift — that couples must learn to navigate and counter as they journey together.

·      Session Two – Together for Good Tools

o   Neil and Sharol dive into how to manage Drift and provide couples with communication tools to grow a deeper connection.

·      Session Three – Together for Good Tools

o   Neil and Sharol unpack how Differences often lead to conflict. Couples are guided in how to identify their areas of conflict and they’re given communication tools to resolve conflicts while learning to appreciate their differences.

·      Session Four – Together for Good | A Good Gift

o   Sharol and Neil guide participants in understanding the dynamics of their sexual relationship and provide a process for them to think helpfully about where they are at and how they might grow in physical intimacy.

·      Session Five – Together for Good | A Greater Good

o   In the final session, Sharol and Neil begin by simply presenting Jesus’ invitation to follow him and to make him the centre of our marriage and families. They explore spiritual differences in the second half and suggest ways couples can be Together for Good spiritually.

·      EARLY BIRD: $299 CAD/Per Couple. Offer available for all locations and expires approximately 18 days before each conference start date.

·      REGULAR RATE: $399CAD Per Couple. Regular rate is available until each event start date.

·      Do we need to be married to attend? Not necessarily, but it is designed to strengthen marriages, so to make the most of your investment we recommend that your relationship is in the process of taking that step. The majority of couples that attend are married, but occasionally engaged couples join us as well and find the conference helpful in starting their marriage off on the right foot.

·      Does the content change from year to year? The Weekend Getaway content was refreshed and revamped for the 2022/2023 season! If you’ve attended a conference in the past now is a great time to come again! Some of the concepts and tools that attendees have told us are the most helpful will remain the same, but you’ll be able to go deeper and engage in new conversations around new, important topics.

·      Do we have to stay at the conference hotel? Or can we stay at home and commute? While it is highly recommended that you and your spouse stay at the conference hotel to experience the weekend in it’s entirety, we do understand some circumstances make this difficult. If for whatever reason you can’t stay at the hotel, agree with your spouse to remove all distractions to get the most of your time together: clear your schedule, don’t check your email, keep the tv off, unplug the phone and find someone to help you with your children. This is a time for you and your spouse to focus on just each other and your relationship.

·      Does the registration fee include accommodations? No. The registration fee does not include accommodations, meals or parking.

·      Is the conference just for troubled marriages? Not at all. This conference is for everyone, no matter what condition your marriage is in. Past participants range from those in good solid marriages right down to those ready to sign divorce papers. It can either take your marriage from good to great, or to potentially saving it. The conference offers hope.

·      View BOGO Policy: During the BOGO $150 promotion period, the discount offer will automatically be applied when two couples are registered on the same order. Cancellations: If either couple participating in the BOGO offer needs to withdraw we’ll gladly transfer your full registration to another couple or future Weekend Getaway. Or if you prefer a refund, registration fees are refundable up to 14 days prior to the conference, less a $30 cancellation fee per couple. If only one couple is withdrawing and requesting the refund it will be the $150 registration (minus the cancellation fee) that will be refunded.

§  Journey to Us

·      Using the same principles from the Hope Restored program, these retreats and conferences seek to prevent marriages from ever reaching a point of crisis. Journey to Us is designed for couples at every stage of married life, providing them with practical tools and insights to navigate the path to a stronger, healthier and even more fulfilling marriage.

·      How is this different from other marriage conferences and retreats? The principles taught in this conference come from the Hope Restored program and have been proven to save 80% of marriages on the brink of divorce over the course of over 15 years. The Journey to Us marriage program brings those same principles to couples in all stages and phases of marriage to prevent relationships from breaking down. The program was developed by licensed therapists who specialize in marriage counselling and the Christian definition of marriage.

·      Do I have to be married and attend with my spouse? The Journey to Us marriage program is open to anyone and everyone and teaches relational principles that are helpful for everybody. The conferences and retreats were created with married couples in mind and they are most effective when couples experience it together. However, singles, engaged couples and unaccompanied spouses are welcome.

·      What’s the difference between a conference and an all-inclusive retreat? Journey to Us Conferences are held in churches across the country over the course of a single day. In an interactive seminar-style format, couples will gather to learn the principles of a healthy and lasting marriage taught by our marriage experts. All-Inclusive Journey to Us Retreats provide couples with the most focused care and attention from our speakers. Held at our luxurious retreat centres in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, this intimate small group setting allows couples more time to learn and put into practice the principles of a healthy and lasting marriage while enjoying time away over a restful weekend.

·      Amongst the speakers:

o   Tara Lalonde: Tara Lalonde is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Tara has a PhD in professional counselling from Liberty University. Her dissertation explored the post-intensive success of the Hope Restored intensive program. She and her husband, Vince, have been married for more than 15 years.
